Why awarding a prize for German IT-security?

Germany has worldwide renown for its competence in the area of security in IT-Technology. Research institutes and companies play a worldwide leading role in various areas.

Over the past 20 years, the founder of the Horst Görtz Foundation, Dr.-Ing. E. h. Horst Görtz himself has been actively contributing to the development of IT-Security in Germany. In the last couple of years, he has also been supporting the area by promoting endowed professorships, doctorates, and events.

By awarding a prize for German IT-Security, the foundation intends to reinforce and to promote the position of IT-Security “Made in Germany”. In doing so the foundation also aims at strengthening the innovative power of Germany’s economy.

A perfect connection:

For the first time, the German IT-Security Prize will be held in Nuremberg, at Europe’s largest expo for IT security it-sa, on 9 October 2018.

The framework programme for the award ceremony:

From 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.:
Presentation of finalists, including short presentations of each innovation.
Place: T9 – Technology Forumin hall 9

From 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m:
Festive awards presentation, including the public disclosure of winners and their innovations.
Place: Hall Mailand (NCC Mitte)

From 5:00 p.m.:
„Meet and Greet“, including catering and networking.
Place: Hall Mailand (NCC Mitte)
