“German Prize for IT-Security 2006” was awarded by the Horst Görtz Foundation.

2006 was the first time the “German Prize for IT-Security” with a total of €200.000 was awarded. It is dedicated to decorate innovations made in Germany that increase the security of data technology work. The jury awarded three out of 45 applicants with this prize.
